Kecak Dance
Kecak dance is a Balinese traditional art of dance-drama that narrates the story of Ramayana epic. Many male dancers perform this dance drama art form. It highlights the art of movement and the art of sound (chants) without any instrumental music. The name “Kecak” dance derives from the repetitive chant of “Cak… cak… cak…” that accompanies the dance performance.

Barong Dance
Barong is a prominent character taken the form of a lion, regarded as the King of the Spirits who represents Virtue. Barong is seen as ‘a guardian angel’. Barong is covered in white thick fur, adorned with gold jewelry and pieces of mirrors. Just like the Chinese Lion Dance, Barong involves two people dancing in synchronized movements to portray the lion in action.
Pandan War
Pandanus war is more of a war dance form, because the participants carry pandanus weapons and rub against their enemies’ backs, so it’s more of a fighting show which is a very unique tradition from Tenganan village which is the oldest village on the island of Bali.
Calon Arang Dance
The Calonarang performance, which is full of magical nuances, since last hundred years, has become one of the charms for world scientists who want to know Balinese culture. The structure of Calonarang dance drama performance can be classified into a number of structures, including plays, actors, gamelan, costumes, decorations, lighting, arena, to the sound system.
